Free2b Groups Support
There is no standard approach for finding funding for Free2b Girls groups, other than being creative, resourceful and determined that when there's a need there will be a way!
The Free2b Program provides training in grassroots community engagement and assists facilitators and organisations running the program to establish long term financial sustainability pathways for their group, including enabling the girls in groups to embark upon social enterprise initiatives of their own.
However, all this takes time and passionate dedication from volunteers, girls and the organisations running the program. Local Councils and Neighbourhood Houses are busy places, as are Free2b Girls facilitators and volunteers.
So, donations to individual groups are a very welcomed and cherished gift - they provide that little bit of space in life where something doesn't have to be thought about....
Donated funds are used by groups to help kick start projects, buy that extra bit of food if it's needed, purchase a beanbag or a few fluffy pillows, hire a bus if required, pay a printer to make cards out of artwork to sell in local shops, buy glitter.....all the essential bits and pieces that are needed to help make things happen!
