Free2b Girls Groups exist because of inspired women who dedicate their time, energy and passion towards the future of girls growing up in their community.
For 2 hrs each week during school terms, these women open the doors to their Free2b groups and enable an environment of freedom, choice and creativity. They ensure boundaries of safety, tolerance and respect are maintained and support up to 20 girls to thrive in whichever way is needed.
All Free2b facilitators are trained in the Free2b Approach to youth engagement, have wwvp checks and are registered under an umbrella organisation like local councils or community houses.
Many facilitators volunteer their time, a few are paid by supportive organisations - all are there because they care and love doing what they do.
To any women thinking about volunteering, I cannot begin to tell you how rewarding it is! Training is fun, inclusive, and open. Supporting the girls to be themselves is amazing. Seeing them express themselves in a myriad of ways is heart warming.."
