Free2b Girls Groups run for 2hrs, once a week, after school, in a community venue, with food, craft and up to 20 girls attending each week.

The groups are facililtated by local women trained in The Free2b Approach to Youth and Community Engagement and are run under local organisations like councils or neighbourhood houses.

The first Free2b group was established in 2017 in St Helens, Tas and was promoted in the school newsletter as:

"a space for girls aged between 10 and 16 where they can feel free to hang out and express their naturally creative selves through music, dance, art craft and cooking, The space is run in a way that encourages freedom within the boundaries of safety and respect" .
There are now 5 Free2b Groups running in the N'East Tasmania ,each with their own descriptions, reflecting the uniqueness of their own community.

All have the words 'Freedom and Safety' included in their descriptions, as these are the 2 words that make Free2b Girls Groups be what they are:

   Safe spaces where girls feel free to be themselves..
